# Sections

Format theme comes with several settings for the homepage. You can choose a style for each section or hide it, and set how many tags and recommendations it shows.

## Featured section

Format theme allows you to customize the featured section style on your homepage. To configure featured section settings, follow these steps:

1. Go to **Settings → Site → Design & branding**
1. Click **Customize → Theme → Homepage**
1. Change style in **Featured section style** setting

Available options:

- Disabled
- Slider
- Slider Center
- Marquee
- Marquee Reverse
- Marquee Twin
- Marquee Twin Reverse
- Cascade
- Grid 2
- Grid 3
- List
- List Card
- List Minimal

The section shows the 20 newest featured posts and stops there. There is no setting for it. The number is a `limit` value in `home.hbs`. See [Section Limits](/docs/guides/advanced-section-limits/) for every count in the theme and how to change it.

## Tags section

Format theme displays popular tags on the home page and you can customize the tags section style:

1. Go to **Settings → Site → Design & branding**
1. Click **Customize → Theme → Homepage**
1. Change **Tags section style** setting

Available options:

- Disabled
- Slider
- Slider Center
- Slider Buttons
- Marquee
- Marquee Reverse
- Marquee Twin
- Marquee Twin Reverse
- Cascade
- Buttons
- Buttons Center
- Buttons Vertical
- List
- List Card
- List Minimal
- List with Posts

## Posts section

Format theme allows you to customize the posts section style on your homepage. To configure posts section settings, follow these steps:

1. Go to **Settings → Site → Design & branding**
1. Click **Customize → Theme → Homepage**
1. Change style in **Posts section style** setting

Available options:

- Disabled
- Slider
- Slider Center
- Marquee
- Marquee Reverse
- Marquee Twin
- Marquee Twin Reverse
- Cascade
- Grid 2
- Grid 3
- List
- List Card
- List Minimal

## Recommendations section

1. Go to **Settings → Site → Design & branding**
1. Click **Customize → Theme → Homepage**
1. Change count in **Recommendations count** setting

You can also customize the recommendations section style:

1. Change style in **Recommendations section style** setting

Available options:

- Disabled
- Slider
- Slider Center
- Marquee
- Marquee Reverse
- Marquee Twin
- Marquee Twin Reverse
- Cascade
- Grid
- Grid 2
