Sidebar

Scope theme features a collapsible sidebar navigation. You can control whether the sidebar is collapsed by default on different page types.

Main Sidebar Setting

To control whether the sidebar is collapsed by default across your site:

1. Go to Settings → Site → Design & branding
2. Click Customize → Theme → Site wide
3. Toggle the Sidebar collapsed setting
   • Enabled: Sidebar will be collapsed by default
   • Disabled: Sidebar will be expanded by default

Landing Page Sidebar Setting

The landing page has a separate sidebar setting, allowing you to keep the sidebar collapsed on landing pages while expanded elsewhere (or vice versa):

1. Go to Settings → Site → Design & branding
2. Click Customize → Theme → Site wide
3. Toggle the Landing sidebar collapsed setting
   • Enabled (default): Sidebar will be collapsed on landing pages
   • Disabled: Sidebar will be expanded on landing pages

Recommended Configuration

For landing pages, we recommend keeping the sidebar collapsed to maximize content visibility and create a more immersive experience. This is the default setting.

For blog pages and regular content, an expanded sidebar can help with navigation, especially if you have many navigation items.
